National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence of Greater Kansas City receives 2009 Prevention and Education Meritorious Award for Prevention Services and our How to Cope Family Services Program.
 
The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. will present this award to NCADD-KC on October 23, 2009, in Washington, DC at the 2009 National Conference of Affiliates.
 
In 2009 we have provided services to over 10,000 community members of Greater Kansas City.
  • 535 families have participated in our How to Cope, CAN, and CARE family programs
  • 6,000 people attended our prevention events
  • 162 counselors took our Certification classes
  • 520 participanats attended our ME First/Motivational Enhancement
  • 2,879 crisis calls came through our line
  • 5,900 informational/educational pieces have been distributed through our library and resource center.
